A collection inspired by the designer’s Turkish heritage and her personal
journey of self-discovery, 3 Words tells a story shared by many.
The handwoven fabrics represent the labor and the paths taken to become
who we are today.
The flawless condition of the first look symbolizes how we come into the
world—and the pressure to be perfect from the very beginning.
The second look deconstructs this idea of perfection. The hand-engraved
skirt motif makes it impossible for any component to be identical. The top
floats freely in the wind, partially veiling the wearer’s face: she is shy, not
yet ready to meet the world.
The final look represents the place many of us find ourselves in today. The
threads still flow freely, but they’ve found where they belong. Without
forgetting - indeed, proudly displaying - the patterns of our past,
the trousers remain a blank canvas on which to write the rest of our story.
